Implant Specialist
Read MoreJob Duties Include:
- Receive and check in the incoming implant cases, update the daily implant incoming work tally sheet, read and understand the prescription associated with the incoming case:
- Ability to identify the implant parts and the brand of the parts that may have been sent by the doctor as well as the ability to understand what parts might be necessary to order for the case
- Ability to communicate with the dentist or oral surgeon and have a good understanding of dental implantology, confidently speaking with the doctor about their cases, offering appropriate suggestions to make their cases more successful for the doctor and the patient.
- Write legibly on all documents/paperwork and call notes so that others within the lab will be able to understand the case, what the doctor is asking for and what the commitment to the doctor is (due date, type of restoration and the ability to produce an accurate billing sheet when the case is completed and ready to deliver.
- Exhibit curiosity and stay current with evolving technology and applications
- Ability to manage a small inventory of abutment parts, analogs and impression copings to support both the lab needs and our doctors
- Accurately complete and fill impression coping orders for doctors
- Able to fill out Web orders, follow up with suppliers for status on incoming inventory shipments
- Maintain the inventory of consumables – cement, jig materials, soft tissue, waxes, knife blades, etc.
- Maintain order records
- Maintain the torque wrenches rentals to support our customers as needed

- Ability to keep the work moving to maintain schedule and commitment dates to our doctors and internal customers
- Ability to recognize if additional time is needed or additional production resources are needed to maintain flow
- Ability to multi-task
- Efficiently hand off work to the next internal customer
- Able to effectively work with the ABS software, Laserfiche, Microsoft Outlook, 3Shape
- Design custom abutments
- Assemble abutment cases, including stickers
- Prep QC including foiling the opposing model
- Provide mentoring and ‘teachable moments’ to fellow team members – as needed
- Attend meetings and/or Scrums (as required) for general lab day to day business, discuss customer feedback on work performed and delivered, etc.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in dental implants
- Proven leadership skills
- Be a self-starter and able to work independently in a teamwork environment
- Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively to our customers (internal and external) and to effectively communicate with lab leadership
- Able to set priorities and meet customer deadlines (internal and external)
- Fluent in using the computer and associated software
- Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and accomplish daily goals and objectives
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to use a microscope and exhibit excellent eye/hand coordination and dexterity
- Process oriented
Physical Demands:
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to see small details and read handwritten or typed materials
- Ability to stoop, reach, walk, lift, pull, grasp, talk, hear, see and use complex repetitive motion

Part-Time Delivery Driver – Des Moines
Read MoreWe are seeking highly dependable, part-time delivery drivers to help expand our delivery route in the Des Moines metro area. The DPS Delivery Driver performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe pickup and delivery of cases to our customers within the designated delivery route.
Job Duties Include:
- Follow work orders while making delivery and pick up of DPS products to customer sites along designated route
- Unload vehicle at customer site and pick up cases from customer location
- Follow all safety regulations. Maintain clean and orderly work area at customer site to ensure safety for themselves and customers.
- Ensure professional contact with customers and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times in order to favorably represent DPS.
- Ensures products are delivered on time and in excellent condition.
- Maintains a safe driving and working environment.
- Ensure appropriate delivery documentation is completed on a daily basis.
- Follows proper accident procedures.
- Properly maintains vehicle and takes the necessary steps to report vehicle maintenance issues.
- Ensures that assigned company vehicle is kept clean and presentable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- The role will travel to various customer sites; each environment will differ as a result.
- This position is very active and requires the employee to stay alert and focused while driving. They will frequently lift and/or move items up to 30 lbs.
- Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, will be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The route driver will frequently interact with customers. The ability to climb stairs is also needed.
- Extensive day travel will be required with this role.
- To accomplish their tasks, the position will need to work around variety of weather environments which Iowa offers (i.e. sun, rain, sleet, rain, snow, cold, heat)
- Work hours: 6:00 am until route is complete (typically mid to late afternoon), Monday-Friday, 1-3 days per week
