Quality Assurance Specialist

Dental Prosthetic Services is seeking a quality and detail-oriented, customer-focused individual to serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist.  As a member of the Quality team, you will be responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving finished products manufactured in the laboratory, which include crowns, bridges, partials, dentures, and orthodontic appliances.  You will maintain product integrity, assist in the development of, promote and adhere to internal quality systems, and provide regular feedback regarding quality control findings.  You will also be responsible for generating various Excel reports.

Successful candidate must have strong problem solving skills, a natural curiosity, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

You will be given the tools and resources to make a difference in the lives of the patients we serve while adding to the growing success of our Agile work environment that values smart, capable, creative people who are able to work in self-organizing teams. Personal accountability, courage, curiosity, a willingness to learn and respectful interactions are a MUST.  A basic understanding of Microsoft Office is required.  Previous dental and customer service experience is preferred.

Dental Technician Trainee

IMG_4240If you like doing precision work with your hands, are artistic, and have a passion for improving people’s lives, a career as a dental technician may be for you. Dental Laboratory Technology combines science and art.  They follow dentists’ detailed written instructions to create dental restorations that are both attractive and functional.  Tasks include working with small dental tools and CAD/CAM technology to fabricate dental solutions for our doctors and patients.

Part-Time Delivery Driver

The DPS Delivery Driver performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe
pickup and delivery of cases to our customers within the designated delivery route.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Follow work orders  while making delivery and pick up of DPS products to customer sites along designated route
  • Unload vehicle at customer site and pick up cases from customer location
  • Follow all safety regulations. Maintain clean and orderly work area at customer site to ensure safety for themselves and customers.
  • Ensure professional contact with customers and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times in order to favorably represent DPS.
  • Ensures products are delivered on time and in excellent condition.
  • Maintains a safe driving and working environment.
  • Ensure appropriate delivery documentation is completed on a daily basis.
  • Follows proper accident procedures.
  • Properly maintains vehicle and takes the necessary steps to report vehicle maintenance issues.
  • Ensures that assigned company vehicle is kept clean and presentable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • The role will travel to various customer sites; each environment will differ as a result.
  • This position is very active and requires the employee to stay alert and focused while driving. They will frequently lift and/or move items up to 30 lbs.Closed box
  • Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, will be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The route driver will frequently interact with customers. The ability to climb stairs is also needed.
  • Extensive day travel will be required with this role.
  • To accomplish their tasks, the position will need to work around variety of weather environments which Iowa offers (i.e. sun, rain, sleet, rain, snow, cold, heat)
  • Work hours: 6:00 am until route is complete (typically mid to late afternoon), Monday-Friday, 1-3 days per week

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and decision making skills
  • Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report and ability to meet DPS driving requirements
  • Excellent customer service communication skills in order to interact with customers. Must provide professional contact and appearance with customers which upholds DPS’s brand image.
  • Ability to read and follow directions and work orders
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements/protocols
  • Customer-focused and an excellent team-player.
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.
  • Consistent, regular attendance is an essential job function.
  • Drivers – 21 years or older
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
